Unitus Community CU Launches PFM In Style with a Video!

Unitus Community Credit Union launched Geezeo's Personal Financial Management program this week to their members as Total Finance. As part of the launch, they promoted the program with a trailer, like for a movie!

Video is becoming such an important component of a credit union's marketing strategy. Unitus CCU also created videos to help their members use Total Finance. The videos are on the Unitus CCU Youtube page.

CU Chat Up - Community Outreach through Social Media

The CU Chat Up radio show returns this week with Amy McGraw from Public Service Credit Union. She will be talking about how she has used social media as part of the credit union's local community outreach.

Credit Union Branding Campaign from British Columbia

While credit unions are closed in the United States for Labor Day, I found out last night that Canada does not celebrate a national holiday today. I thought, why wait to post these videos until tomorrow, so here they are!


The Credit Unions of BC has started a "Be Remarkable" branding campaign for credit unions. They have a microsite at http://beremarkable.com, which includes the following videos and answers some questions about credit unions.

Credit Union Z: Good vs. Evil Who Will Win?

This is a fun credit union video from Young Free Texas. I think I may not be the right demographic to get the references in the video, but I still enjoyed it for its creativity. (Ok, I'll tell you what I really thought...I thought at first it was a parody of the Twilight movies. I then realized I was VERY wrong...But, if you have seen the movies, please tell me you could see that connection, especially at the beginning! Please?!?!? Sorry, Young Free Texas! Still liked the video.)

Credit Unions - Power to the People!

The simplicity of this video just blows me away. It visually shows the power of the credit union movement. While it could be seen as an anti-bank ad, I see it more as power to the people. It visually represents the core of the credit union philosophy!
